I read this book at the perfect time, and was inspired to read it by watching Ramit Sethi's interview with the author, Olivia Fox Cabane. In this episode, I break down some of the Cabane's simple strategies for getting rid of negative beliefs and showing up more confident and dealing better with pressure.

This mistake is common amongst the athletes who have repetitive tasks and workouts, and get burnt out, or bored. It's because you're not focusing on GOALS/END RESULTS/OUTCOMES. Check out the first episode on the podcast, or by going to imnotyou.com/lifemastery

Everyone says they want to accomplish big things and be "great". But most don't even put a dent in their goals. Why? Because they don’t focus on MASTERY. Their lives are sloppy, and they think they can be great in one area, and sloppy in another. You must now be a student of greatness, and those who dominate are well balanced and methodical in their approach. Our focus is now on mastering LIFE, not just being awesome on the court, or selling a lot of products. In this series I am going to be breaking down the fatal mistakes that prevent life mastery, and lead to frustration and overwhelm. There are a total of 13 episodes, so enjoy and stay tuned.

A few years ago, I quit my job to go into business for myself, FULL TIME. I had about 12k in savings (that I took from my firefighter 401k), an inconsistent 5-8k per month coming in from my business, and no team. But I did have a vision, a burning desire to make it happen, and the support from my wife. Since then, revenue has increased by 5x, my team has expanded, and we are now serving clients literally all around the world. I consider my leap one of the best decisions I have ever made. Maybe you or someone you know is considering going into business full time, instead of screwing around trying to create a side-business. It is not easy. You’d be wise to have a plan. In this episode I read you the letter I wrote to my family once I decided to quit, and I will show you how you can have the confidence and certainty you need to enter the jungle and create a business that helps to change the world.

If you've already got an Apple TV, you may want to get two. I've began the habit of taking my Apple TV while I travel and it's changed the game for me. Take a listen, and make sure you put others on game as well.

Aug 29, 2018

I've noticed a trend with extremely rich and "successful" people. They think big; meaning they have incredible vision. But they match this "dreaming" quality with extreme and cutting practicality...an ability to see what's true that is superior to the average person. Most people ignore what's true, because what is true causes pain and confusion. In John Rockefeller's book, he explains why it's so crucial that you always pay attention and see things as they are.
